27 hurt in road mishaps

RAJOURI, May 20: At least 27 persons were injured, five of them seriously  in three separate road accidents in district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that a mini-bus, bearing registration number JK-11/4399, which was on its way to Sunderbani from Taryath, rolled down into a gorge near Kali Dub village this evening. All the 18 passengers travelling in the vehicle were injured. The locals of the area rushed to the spot after coming to know about the mishap. The police party from Sunderbani also reached there.
All the injured were shifted to SDH Sunderbani. Five seriously injured passengers were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu. They were  identified as Nanak Chand (47), son of Bhushan Chand, resident of Mogla; Mamta Devi (13), daughter of Satpal, resident of Taryath; Babli Devi (40), wife of Ram Babu, resident of  Bakhar, Neelam Rekha (45), wife of Madan Lal, resident of Taryath and Pawan Kumar (47), son of Hans Raj, resident of Pokhra in Reasi. The police has taken cognizance  of the matter.
Five persons were injured when a school bus collided with a Matador at Thandikassi village in Manjakote today. The mishap took place when the Matador rammed into the stationary bus of Himalayan Education Mission School, Rajouri. The injured were removed to District hospital, Rajouri.
Meanwhile, four persons were injured when  a mini-bus met with an accident at Behrote village in Thannamandi today. All the injured were shifted to Thannamandi hospital and discharged after providing treatment by the doctors. The police has taken cognizance.
