RAJOURI, Apr 8: The district unit of Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers’ Forum (JKRTTF) today took out a protest rally from Children Park to DC Office, in support of their demands.
The rally was taken out under the presidentship of Aftab Tantray. Thousands of ReT teachers of 15 Zones of the district participated in the protest rally. The protestors also hampered the traffic movement for about two hours at Gujjar Mandi Chowk.
The protesting teachers were raising slogans in favour of their demands, which included release of pending salary of SSA teachers, withdrawal autocratic order disallowing the exam duties of ReTs and regularization of ReTs who have completed their five years.
Later, the protesting teachers submitted a memorandum of demands to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri for submission to higher authorities of the Education Department.
