WDC holds awareness camp

Rajouri, Apr 8: The Jammu and Kashmir State Women’s Development Corporation (WDC) organized awareness camp at Chawa Rajouri to make local women aware about the schemes offered by the Corporation, besides Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Disaster Management protection.
Around 800 women attended the camp and were on spot provided loan application forms.
Managing Director, JKWDC Dr. Naheed Soz highlighted various activities being undertaken by WDC for the empowerment of women. She emphasized the need for development and welfare of women to achieve economic progress in the State.
Mehjabeen, Deputy Superintendent of Police, threw light on Disaster Management and protection.
The Development Officer, Vijay Tikoo also highlighted the schemes being implemented by the Corporation and requested the participating women to come forward and avail the benefits of the schemes of the Corporation, especially girl students for availing Education loan at a very simple rate of interest of 3% per annum.
Nasreen Gul, District Manager, Rajouri also highlighted the schemes presently under operation.
