JAMMU, Apr 3: In an organizational revamp, as a part of efforts to rejuvenate Pardesh Youth Congress, Amrinder Singh Raja Brar, president, All Indian Youth Congress (IYC) has elevated Pranav Shagotra as the new president of J&K Pradesh Youth Congress.
Pranav Shagotra started his political career as NSUI district general secretary in 2003. He was appointed as the State general secretary of Pardesh Youth Congress in 2011. He contested elections of PYC in 2012 and became the vice president of State Youth Congress.
The elevation of Pranav Shagotra is an attempt to strengthen the organization and to bring the fresh blood in the mainstream politics. He is vibrant youth leader and had been to many foreign countries to present the case of young people.
Pranav Shagotra has posed full faith in the Congress leadership and expressed gratitude to AICC president, Sonia Gandhi and AICC vice president, Rahul Gandhi, general secretary AICC, Ambika Soni secretary AICC, Suraj Hedge, IYC president, Amrinder Singh, president JKPCC, Ghulam Ahmed Mir, IYC Secretary, Dr Umma Shankar Pandey and Sham Lal Sharma, senior vice president JKPCC.
Pranav Shagotra has been elevated following appointment of Shahnawaz Choudhary as PCC general secretary.
Meanwhile Youth Congress activists from all over the State have welcomed the appointment of Pranav Shagotra.
