LEH, Apr 1: Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Rigzin Spalbar and MLA Nubra Deldan Namgyal met Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and requested him to look into certain unresolved issues of EM&RE Division Leh.
Looking at the regularisation of the casual labours in PDD who have completed 7 years as causal workers in all the districts of J&K in 2013-14, except Leh district, they requested for the regularization of the pending casual workers of the PDD Leh too. Regularization of 47 such labours is pending with the administrative department. They further requested that the time to time request letters of EM&RE Division Leh through its Chief Engineer for providing wages to their casual labours may be considered.
CEC and MLA also notified DyCM about the requirement of creation of Posts in EM&RE Division Leh for the electrification work of un-electrified villages in the district under Centrally sponsored schemes. They said that the infrastructures have been created, but in order to run the transmission and distribution network created for supplying power to these villages, man power is essentially required otherwise it may not be possible to run the show.
CEC and MLA further apprised DyCM that the Division through Superintending Engineer and Chief Engineer has submitted a proposal for creation of two additional sub divisions, one at Nubra and one at Khaltsi in 2013-14 and 2014-15 and thus requested to consider for immediate action in this regard.
Talking about the Ultra-Mega Solar Power Project to be set up in Leh district, CEC and MLA requested DyCM that no work should be carried out without the consent of the Council.
