JAMMU, Mar 27: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, Incharge Power Development, Housing and Urban Development Departments today set up high level 4 members committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Jammu AK Sahu for holding an inquiry into less usage of wire in transformers at the PDD workshop at Narwal.
Other members of the Committee included Mohinder Singh, Additional Secretary, PDD, Anshul Garg, IAS probationer and Subhan Dar, Executive Engineer, Kashmir Procurement Division.
Dr Singh had yesterday ordered attachment of Executive Engineer Workshop, Narender Singh Jamwal after conducting surprise check of the workshop in which it was detected that the staff was using less wire in the transformers, leading to their early damage.
Jamwal has been asked to report to the office of Development Commissioner Power (DCP) in the Civil Secretariat.
Meanwhile, Roshan Lal, who was posted in the Power Development Corporation (PDC), has been posted as new Executive Engineer Workshop.
