MENDHAR, Mar 3: The massive seepage in the new building of Govt Degree College Mendhar, constructed by NBCC Ltd has caused extensive damage to the college infrastructure and furniture.
Reports said that due to rain for the last 4-5 days, the water is leakage from the roof top of the building at many places has been witnessed. The students and the college staff has been facing lot of hardships. The College Principal Prof Shabir Hussain said that this building is hardly 2-3 year old and this kind of seepage and water logging, speaks about the kind of construction carried on it by the agency NBCC. He said that matter has been taken with the SDM Mendhar and the Deputy Commissioner Poonch. He said many items, furniture and other infrastructure of the college has been damaged with the leakage at many points.
General Manager NBCC Ltd, Mohd Rafiq when contacted said that he would send a team to the GDC Mendhar for on the spot assessment and if needed, he would get it repaired.
