He said that this disease has not been taken seriously by the Government.
The NPP leader said that as per details given in Union Health Minister’s meeting held on Tuesday, 624 deaths had been caused in the country by H1N1 during the current year after January 1 as compared to 218 deaths caused during the previous year. He said as per reports Rajasthan had the highest mortality rate followed by Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab. It was worrisome for J&K State in view of the pandemic hawing spread in the neighbouring States and claiming several precious lives in Haryana and Punjab and several suspected cases having come to light in J&K, including two deaths reported in the State due to the dreaded diseases.
