RAMBAN, Feb 13: Police seized 140 sleepers of deodar and arrested a person from village Chaba here.
As per police sources, police team from Ramban police station led by SHO Inspector Ajay Singh Chib conducted a raid in a house at village Chaba.
During raid, police recovered 140 sleepers of deodar and arrested the owner of the house.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Shafi, son of Mohammad Yousuf.
A case under FIR number 16/15 under Section 379 RPC and 6 Forest Act has been registered at Ramban police station and investigation started.
