SRINAGAR, Jan 15: Commissioner, Survey and Land Records (SLR), has suspended Patwari Bashir Ahmad Lone who is posted at Halqa Khanpeth with additional charge of Halqa Mirgund in Tehsil Pattan for producing fake documents from Special Secretary to Chief Secretary’s office regarding his retention at his current place of posting.
It was further revealed that no such communication had ever been issued from the office of the Special Secretary to Chief Secretary’s office, Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
The Commissioner also directed the Regional Director, Survey and Land Records, Srinagar to constitute a special task force of senior revenue officers for examining records under the charge of Patwari and to ensure that no illegal transfer of land and change of land use had been affected in the villages under the jurisdiction of concerned Patwari.
