KATHUA, July 26: The police arrested four drug-peddlers and recovered some charas and 4000 capsules of toxic nature from their custody in district Kathua today.
A police spokesman said that two persons were intercepted by a police naka party when they tried to enter the state from Berian Pattan area of Punjab this morning. During frisking the police recovered 4000 capsules of Parvan Spas from their possession. They were identified as Balbir Singh, son of Man Singh of Nathu Nagar Pathankot and Tarsem Lal, son of Sadhu Ram, resident of Ferozpur. They were arrested and a case registered against them.
Meanwhile, another drug peddler Rakesh Kumar, son of Chaman Lal, resident of Shahdra Delhi was arrested from Delhi area by Kathua police. He was wanted in case FIR No 42/2012 by Lakhanpur police. He had smuggled 5300 bottles of banned Codex bottles few days back to Kathua. The police was looking for him.
Another drug peddler, Tilak Raj Gorkhu, son of Titru Ram of Talli village was arrested by Dyala Chak Police at naka point today . The police recovered 20 gms of Charas from his possession. A case FIR No. 114/ 2012 was registered against him.
