JAMMU, Dec 5: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Jammu East constituency Rajesh Gupta organized volunteers meet in which a large number of party activists and volunteers participated.
The volunteers were given Modi T-Shirts and administered oath to work whole heartedly for the glory of the party and the country.
A young mass media strategist Ranjan Srivastava who had especially come from Delhi for the event addressed the meet and gave a brilliant presentation about the use of social media in the coming elections.
Rajesh Gupta while addressing the meet said “I and my ancestors have lived in Jammu East constituency since long and I am familiar with each and every nook and corner of the area. The manner in which I understand the problems of the area, it is not possible for anyone else to do so. As a Corporator I have done justice with the development of the area without any regard of caste, creed or religion and that is the reason of my popularity with all sections of the society”.
On top of my priorities would be the preservation, protection and further
development of all the important Heritage sites of the area, he asserted.
“Raghunath Bazar has traditionally been a great tourist attraction and needs to be developed and beautified further to attract more tourists, so that more and more people find employment. The problems created as a result of shifting of Bus Stand to different locations has resulted in the loss of business in the area and needs to be addressed. Jammu East constituency is a congested area without many open spaces and as such needs a special master plan for development”, he added.
He stated that Modi charismatic persona has worked wonders in the rest of the country and J&K is at the cusp of a great opportunity for development and all around prosperity. The people of the State have to seize this opportunity by voting overwhelmingly in favour of BJP, he added.
