4 gamblers nabbed

JAMMU, Nov 18: Gandhi Nagar police today arrested four gamblers alongwith Rs 1,800 stake money and playing cards.
A police spokesman said that, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station conducted a raid at Nai Basti area and arrested four gamblers alongwith Rs 1,800 stake money and playing cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Jagdish Raj, son of Mela Ram, resident of Bakshi Nagar, Pawan Kumar, son of Girdhari Lal, Ratish, son of Babu Singh and Ghulab Chand, son of Bishan Dass, all resident of Nai Basti.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Paramjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
