JAMMU, Nov 12: Alleging discrimination by Kashmir Centric Government and Ministers with Jammu region specially with far -off areas, Balwan Singh, Congress candidate for Marh Assembly segment said that the Marh block is suffering due to non-development. He said no proper road connectivity, lack of recruitment for youth, deprivation of proper health facilities, inadequate crop compensation, no reservation quota etc besides disparity in distribution of funds are the issues which remained unresolved.
Balwan Singh was speaking in a public meeting organized today at Marh block in which Ex-Minister and candidate for Raipur Domana Mula Ram, vice president PCC Jammu Th. Hari Singh and gen secy Vinod Mishra were also present.
Addressing a largely attended gathering of people and workers of party as a part of election campaign, Balwan Singh reminded them that Congress is committed to create better infrastructure for the people of the area especially living in the remote and far-flung areas without any kind of discrimination and people must see the performance of UPA I and UPA II for the last ten years.
Balwan said that many leaders of different political parties will come to make their claims but the people must realize the performance of the candidate on the ground while making their choice in the Assembly elections.
Balwan exhorted the people to extend their full support to Congress Party, saying this will be support to the forward looking policies and programmes being implemented by Congress Government. He further said that there is a need for carrying forward the developmental activities in the State. He said that equitable development has been the main plank of Congress and the party has ensured that people irrespective of region, religion and caste get equal opportunities of progress.
Other prominent Congress leaders present on the occasion include, Lala Devi Das, Block President Ashwani Sharma, Bishan Dutt former Sarpanch, Balvinder Sharma, Darshan Lal Motton and Sham Lal.
