JAMMU, June 6: Police in Arnia area here today claimed they have arrested a history-sheeter wanted for his alleged involvement in a case registered some 15 years ago.
A police official said that one Lucky Choudhary of village Changia, Arnia, was wanted in connection with an FIR number 106/2011 registered under sections 341 and 323 RPC at Police Station Arnia.
He said the accused, however, had been evading his arrest for a considerable period and was deliberately avoiding legal proceedings by frequently changing his whereabouts.
The police official said that acting on specific inputs, Choudhary was traced and arrested recently by a team of Police Station Arnia.
He said further legal proceedings in the matter are underway as per the law.
