UDHAMPUR, June 2: A woman died and six others of the family were injured when a Scorpio vehicle collided with a Truck on National Highway, near Tikri, here today.
According to the reports, the Scorpio bearing registration number JK14E-8337 was on way towards Udhampur when its driver lost control over the vehicle resulting into head on collision with the Truck, coming from opposite direction.
Locals and Tikri police took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where one of the victim was declared as brought dead. She was identified as Geeta Devi (55), wife of Lal Chand, resident of Ramkot.
Other six injured persons were discharged after first aid. Tikri Police have registered the case in this connection.
