SUNDERBANI, June 2: Former MLC and chief spokesperson of JKPCC, Ravinder Sharma conducted extensive tour of Sunderbani – Kalakote and Nowshera areas and interacted with party workers and cross section of society to know the problems faced by common man.
In a press statement here today, Sharma said that people are suffering due to unprecedented price hike, large scale unemployment and joblessness besides the water scarcity due to failure & non completion of Jal Jeevan Mission schemes .
The ban on issuance of land Fards , a mandatory document for land transfers due to non- availability of Mosavi in most parts, has badly hit the needy people for treatment of life consuming diseases , seeking loans and availing government facilities.
Addressing a meeting of party workers at Dharamsal, Sharma said that people are suffering on various counts due to neglect of genuine needs of people of different areas.
He said that Congress- NC Government had sanctioned a Tehsil and Block status besides grant of Higher Secondary School in Dharamsal area , however, after the change of government in 2014, these facilities were withdrawn by BJP government and UT administration to the disadvantage of people.
Seeking reconsideration of decision to cancel these facilities, Sharma said that students have to travel 8 to 10 kms of distance after 10th class to get 10 plus 2 schooling. He asked the government to upgrade the High School Dharamsal to 10+2 levels at the earliest.
Earlier, former MLC visited Chowki Handan, Bagnoti and Lamberi in Nowshera and interacted with the people. He also attended a mega blood donations camp at Chowki Handan organised by Sant Nirankari Mission and appreciated the mission for the yeoman services to the society.
