RAJOURI, June 1: In a strict action against drug trafficking, Rajouri Police claimed to have detained a notorious drug-peddler under PITNDPS Act.
A police official said that the accused identified as Nahid Choudhary, son of Mohd Shafi, a resident of Ward No. 13 Peer Kanju, Tehsil and District Rajouri, was involved in multiple cases of drug- peddling.
Taking cognizance of his continuous involvement in such illegal activities the competent authority issued detention orders under the PITNDPS Act, following which he was lodged in Central Jail, Kot bhalwal, Jammu.
