AKHNOOR, May 26: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to complete 12 years in office on June 7 next month, becoming the longest continuously elected Prime Minister of the country, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to organise a series of programmes at different levels to celebrate 12 years of trust, development and public welfare under his leadership.
Addressing party workers during an organisational meeting at Akhnoor, BJP State Secretary Arun Sharma said that the last 12 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi have marked a transformational phase in the country’s history, with transparent governance, rapid development and welfare-oriented policies benefiting every section of society. He said the Modi Government has worked with commitment and dedication for the upliftment of the poor, farmers, youth, women, senior citizens, labourers and marginalised sections.
Arun informed that the party has prepared a comprehensive schedule of programmes to commemorate the completion of 12 successful years of the Modi Government. He said the programmes will include media interactions, special outreach campaigns, cleanliness drives, Pragati Path Yatras, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Conventions, public welfare camps and exhibitions showcasing the achievements and transformative works of the Modi Government.
He added that programmes relating to World Environment Day and International Yoga Day will also be organised with active participation of party workers and the public. Besides this, seminars, plantation drives and interaction programmes with beneficiaries of centrally sponsored schemes will be conducted from booth level to district and state level.
Arun said that the BJP workers have been reaching every household and inform people about the welfare measures, developmental initiatives and achievements of the Modi Government during the past 12 years. He expressed confidence that the people of the country continue to repose immense faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s honest, dedicated and visionary leadership.
BJP Akhnoor District President Kuldeep Sharma, District Prabhari Vinay Gupta, Convenor Suresh Sharma, Reena Verma ,Surinder Singh and others also addresed the meeting.
