JAMMU, May 21: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Jammu East constituency, Yudhvir Sethi on Thursday held a Janata Darbar at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Kachi Chawni, where a large number of people from different areas of Jammu East constituency participated and projected their civic and public issues.
During the public interaction programme, residents raised concerns related to sanitation, road repairs, drainage, water supply, electricity, street lighting, and other developmental works. People also brought individual grievances and sought immediate intervention for resolving pending issues concerning their localities.
Yudhvir Sethi patiently heard the grievances of the people and assured them that all genuine issues would be addressed on priority. He emphasized that Janata Darbars provide an important platform for direct communication between public representatives and citizens and help in ensuring transparent and responsive governance.
Speaking on the occasion, Sethi said that the welfare of the people and development of Jammu East constituency remain his foremost priority. He stated that regular interaction with the public helps in understanding ground-level problems and enables timely action for their resolution.
“Our commitment is to ensure that every resident of Jammu East gets access to better civic amenities and public services. The purpose of organizing Janata Darbars is to remain connected with the people and address their concerns in an effective manner,” Sethi said.
The MLA also directed concerned officials and party workers present during the programme to take immediate note of the grievances highlighted by the people and ensure early redressal wherever possible.
Residents appreciated the initiative and expressed satisfaction over the opportunity to directly interact with their elected representative. Many people lauded the MLA for maintaining regular public outreach and taking personal interest in resolving local issues.
Several senior BJP leaders, party workers, social activists, and local residents were present during the Janata Darbar at Kachi Chawni.
The programme witnessed active participation from people belonging to different sections of society, reflecting strong public engagement in developmental and civic matters concerning Jammu East constituency.
