SAMBA, May 19: Continuing crackdown on illegal mining, Samba police under the supervision of SSP Samba, Anuj Kumar, has seized six dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba and Ghagwal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams headed by SHO PS Samba and in-charges of Police Posts (PP) Supwal and Mansar of PS Samba and in-charge of Police Post (PS) Rajpura of PS Ghagwal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas have seized six dumpers bearing Registration Numbers, JK19A-3039, JK08N-0520, JK21H-9070, JK21F-6718, JK02DE-2607, JK21H-7049 which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
The vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department Samba for further legal action.
