REASI, May 19: Three alleged drug peddlers were arrested with heroin during separate operations in Katra and Rajouri districts today, officials said.
They said one Sunil Sharma of Aghar Jitto, District Reasi, was arrested with 2.8 grams of heroin during routine checking at Balni Naka area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Katra.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 151/2026 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation taken up, officials added.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation at Kallar Naka area under the jurisdiction of Police Post Chingus and Police Station Rajouri, a police team arrested one Vikas Rajput of Jamola and Kavita Sharma of Budhal with 13 grams of heroin.
They were booked in case FIR number 259/2026 under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Rajouri, with further investigation set into the motion.
