JAMMU, May 14: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, today chaired a comprehensive crime review meeting at District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu and directed officers to strengthen policing, investigation and anti-narcotics operations across the district.
The meeting was attended by all jurisdictional Superintendents of Police, Sub-Divisional Police Officers and Station House Officers.
During the meeting, the IGP Jammu reviewed the prevailing security situation and status of pending investigations and stressed the need for professional and result-oriented policing.
He directed officers to focus on quality investigation and proper evidence collection to improve conviction rates in courts.
Reiterating a zero-tolerance policy against drugs, the IGP asked officers to intensify action against narcotics syndicates and initiate property seizure proceedings against habitual offenders.
He also instructed police officers to increase patrolling and strengthen the intelligence network to prevent criminal activities.
The IGP Jammu further urged officers to maintain integrity and adopt a citizen-friendly approach while addressing public grievances.
