SRINAGAR, May 14: Police today attached an immovable property linked to a man accused of involvement in terror-related activities in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district
A police spokesperson said the immovable property, around 10 marlas of land, valued at nearly Rs. 20 lakh and located in Kehnusa area of Bandipora, was attached as part of ongoing legal proceedings under anti-terror laws.
According to the spokesperson, the property belongs to Majid Ahmad Sofi, also known as Bisati, a resident of New Colony, Sopore. He is named in FIR No. 307/2023 registered at Police Station Sopore.

He added that the action has been taken under multiple sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, along with provisions of the Arms Act and Explosive Substances Act.
The spokesperson described the move as part of a wider strategy to “choke financial and logistical support networks” linked to militancy. Indirectly referring to the accused network, the spokesperson added that authorities are committed to “dismantling ecosystems that enable terrorism in the region.”
