JAMMU, May 14: JP World School organised its first-ever AI Summit and inaugurated a state-of-the-art AI Lab featuring AI Educator ‘IRIS’, marking a significant step towards innovation-driven and future-ready education. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, educators and distinguished guests.
Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Jammu Dr Rakesh Minhas attended the summit as chief guest and appreciated the school’s initiative in integrating Artificial Intelligence into the education system. Chairperson Dr Panna Manhas Choudhary, Principal Aparana Kohli, Prof Vinod Sharma, Director Ramnagar Campus, University of Jammu, Dr Arvind Selwal from Central University of Jammu, senior journalist and geostrategic expert Pardeep Dutta, journalist Somil Abrol and Rahul Sharma (PhD Research Scholar) were present on the occasion.
A major highlight of the summit was the launch of the advanced AI Lab and unveiling of ‘IRIS’, an AI-powered educational initiative. A live demonstration showcasing its practical applications generated great enthusiasm among the participants.
The summit also focused on the growing role of AI in sectors including education, banking, automobile industry, filmmaking, editing, ERP systems and library management. Awardees Rajat Mahajan, Ruchir Mahajan, Susheel Sharma, Arun Kumar and Sukhwinder were also felicitated for their achievements in their respective fields.
