MENDHAR/JAMMU, May 11: Police on Monday busted an old terrorist hideout and recovered suspected militancy-era material, including IED batteries and binoculars, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, officials said.
The recoveries were made from the Sara-Simli Gali area in the Darhal belt during a search operation carried out by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of police, they said.
According to officials, the seized items included five IED batteries, two old backpacks, a binocular, two syringes, shaving blades and some diary covers.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the recovered material belonged to an earlier phase of militancy in the region, officials said. (Agencies)
