JAMMU, Apr 19: A police personnel posted at Bakshi Nagar Police Station was injured after being attacked by two unidentified assailants near Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu late Sunday night.
Officials said Havildar Sandeep Singh was hit by two scooty-borne youths using a knuckle near Vishal Mega Mart, opposite the back gate of GMC, causing injuries to his eyes and cheeks.
He was immediately shifted to GMC Jammu, where his condition is stated to be stable.
Meanwhile, police have started analyzing CCTV footage of the area to identify and trace the attackers.
