JAMMU, Sept 23: Gajansoo police arrested a bootlegger and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police team from Gajansoo police post intercepted a pedestrian namely Kamal, son of Chet Bhadur, a resident of Sanduri, Nepal at present Nai Basti.
During checking, police recovered 42 pouches of illicit liquor pouches and arrested the bootlegger.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Gajansoo police post and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge police post Gajansoo PSI Jaswinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sanjay Parihar.
