JAMMU, Apr 4: J&K BJP Minority Morcha president, Ranjodh Singh Nalwa urged the representatives of transport companies to put up a united face for the redressal of their grievances.
Addressing a congregation of the representatives of All J&K Motor Transport Companies Association here today, the BJP leader flayed the NC led government and said that the government should treat both Kashmir and Jammu regions equally.
He expressed serious concern over the outsourcing of ‘fitness & passing’ of vehicles in Jammu to a private company and said that the government is yet to introduce such a practice in Kashmir.
Calling this as the latest example of discrimination with Jammu region, Nalwa said that it would be better if the government had kept open the official window also while switching to privatization model. He asked the representatives of transport companies to get united so that they are heard.
“NC had promised to give Punjabi the status of official language but it is yet to do anything in this regard,” The BJP leader maintained.
