JAMMU, Mar 15: Ashok Kumar Koul has been elected as the new president of Sharika Peeth Sanstha Subash Nagar Jammu, the election of which was held here, today. He defeated two other candidates in the fray who included Rohin Mattoo and Satish Mahaldar.
Koul succeeded M K Jalali who served the Sastha for three years as its elected president.
The result was declared by Ashok Kumar Braroo a senior K P leader who was appointed as Returning Officer for conducting elections by the Sanstha.
In his address the outgoing president expressed the hope that Sanstha will continue to flourish under Ashok Koul while highlighting the performance of the Sanstha during his tenure.
