Jammu, Feb 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Tuesday witnessed noisy scenes after MLA Khursheed stood up and drew the attention of the Chair towards certain remarks made by MLA Randhawa.
Khursheed was backed by MLA Irfan Hafeez Lone, National Conference legislators and several other members, leading to heated exchanges in the House.
Amid the commotion, an MLA waved a placard reading “Khasra No. 211” in an apparent attempt to mock Randhawa, who had earlier received a show-cause notice from the Jammu Development Authority over alleged encroachment of land falling under Khasra No. 211 at Chak Ganeshu village in Mandal tehsil of Jammu.
The incident triggered protests and counter-slogans. (KNC)
