JAMMU, Feb 2: A delegation headed by MLA Chadoora, Ali Mohammad Dar, today met Agriculture Minister Javid Ahmad Dar and Secretary of Agriculture Production Department to discuss important issues concerning horticulture employees.
The delegation comprised UT president of All J&K Non Gazetted Horticulture Employees Union (NGHEU) Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, provincial president M Amin Dar, vice president Anantnag Sareer Ahmad and secretary Nazir Ahmad Tantray Sahib.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted several long-pending and genuine demands of horticulture employees, including pay anomaly, issues related to BHT, recruitment rules, and other service-related and welfare matters affecting the smooth functioning and morale of the employees.
Detailed and constructive deliberations were held, wherein the delegation apprised the Minister of the ground realities and challenges being faced by horticulture employees.
The Agriculture Minister listened patiently to the concerns raised and assured the delegation that the Government is sensitive to these issues and fully committed to resolving them in time bound manner.
The Minister further emphasized that concrete steps will be taken to ensure the welfare, career progression, and sustainable development of agriculture and horticulture employees, recognizing their vital role in strengthening the agricultural economy of the region.
The meeting concluded on a positive and optimistic note, with the delegation expressing hope that the assurances given will soon translate into tangible outcomes for the benefit of horticulture employees.
