Berlin discredits itself by freezing Russian assets, Nationalizing firms

MOSCOW, Jan 30 : Berlin discredits itself by freezing Russian sovereign assets and nationalizing Russian enterprises, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Lyublinsky said in an interview with Sputnik.
“The actions of the German authorities have completely discredited their former reputation as an ‘honest broker,'” Lyublinsky said.
Russian sovereign assets worth about 3.42 billion euros ($4.076 billion) have been frozen in Germany, and most recently the German leadership actively promoted the idea of using them for an interest-free “reparation loan” to Kiev, but “without interfering with property rights,” the deputy foreign minister said.
Additionally, the interests of large Russian businesses are being infringed upon, Lyublinsky said, adding that Gazprom Germania GmbH was nationalized, and the authorities introduced external management in relation to the German assets of Rosneft.
