Bharat Darshan Tour: Sixth batch of students flagged off

JAMMU, Jan 28: With the objective of promoting national integration, cultural exposure and holistic development of youth, the Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Jammu, flagged off the sixth batch of the Bharat Darshan Tour for students from District Kishtwar, here today.
The initiative, saw a group of 90 participants, including students and caretakers, depart from Jammu. The tour will cover major destinations such as Delhi and Kolkata, providing students an opportunity to experience India’s rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks and institutional diversity.
The flag-off ceremony was conducted by Shamsher Hussain, Staff Officer to IGP Jammu.
Prior to departure, the students were briefed about the objectives of the programme, safety guidelines and the broader vision of Jammu and Kashmir Police in empowering youth through educational exposure.
Addressing the students, Shamsher Hussain said, “The Bharat Darshan Tours are not merely sightseeing programmes but serve as a bridge connecting young minds with India’s history, institutions and diverse cultures.”
He further reminded the students that they would act as cultural ambassadors of Jammu and Kashmir during the journey and encouraged them to spread the message of peace, harmony and brotherhood.
Similar Bharat Darshan Tours will be organised in the coming days for students from the remaining four districts, reaffirming the commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police towards youth engagement and nation-building.
Narinder Singh, ADO ZPHQ Jammu, along with other staff members of ZPHQ Jammu, were also present on the occasion.
