Fire breaks out at ruins of demolished UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem

Jerusalem, Jan 25 : The fire has broken out at the site of the demolished headquarters of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Jerusalem, the Jerusalem Post newspaper reported on Sunday, citing the Israeli Fire and Rescue Services.
Firefighters are searching the blaze for any people trapped inside, according to the report. No cause has been reported yet.
On Tuesday, Israeli authorities tore down the UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem. The demolition followed a law banning the agency’s operations, which took effect in Israel in January 2025. (UNI)
