Ensure completion of multi-tier parking project in time: AJHLA

JAMMU, Sept 3: All Jammu Hotels & Lodges Association (AJHLA) and various other hotliers and traders association today urged the State Government to ensure timely completion of multi-tier parking project at General Bus Stand at Jammu.
In a joint statement, president, AJHLA, Inderjeet Khajuria, president, Hotels, Bars and Restaurant’s Association, Kuldeep Wahi, chairman, JPVM, Ravi Mahajan, president, Transporters’ Association, Devender Chaudhary, president, Raghunath Bazar Traders’ Association, Baldev Khullar, president, Upper gumat Traders’ Association, Rajiv Gupta and president, All J&K Passengers’ Welfare Association, RC Sharma, requested the State Government to complete the mega parking project within fixed time frame.
If the project is not completed in stipulated time then cost of project, which is presently Rs 131 crore, may get escalated, they said.
They also hailed Omar Abdullah for keeping up his promise regarding provision of facilities of bus terminal for 75 buses in the proposed building. However alleging that there prevails some confusion over the bus terminal, he appealed Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu to clear the confusion.
They also expressed hope that UEED would keep its promise of giving connections by the end of this month to provide a sense of relief to the suffering hotliers.
