Manyal reiterates support to daily wagers, says will raise issue in Assembly

SAMBA, Jan 6: MLA Ramgarh, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, today reiterated his firm commitment to the cause of daily wager employees, stating that he has strongly raised their issues in previous Assembly sessions and will continue to raise them forcefully in the upcoming Assembly sessions as well.
Dr. Manyal made these remarks while interacting with members of PHE United Front, Samba, including Rakesh Kumar, Ajay Naroo, Karan Chand, Sushil Salathia, Bakshi, and other members of the front.
“I have already raised the issue of daily wagers in the Assembly and will again raise it with full force. The genuine demands of daily wagers, who have been serving for decades, deserve immediate attention and justice,” Dr. Manyal said.
He acknowledged the hardships faced by daily wagers working in the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, many of whom have been rendering services for more than 30 years without regularisation, social security, or timely wages.
Dr. Manyal emphasized that the issue involves the livelihood of nearly 60,000 families across Jammu and Kashmir and assured the delegation that he would continue to press the Government for Regularisation under SRO 64 of 1994 and SRO 520 of 2017,Release of long-pending earned wages, and Implementation of the High Court judgments in letter and spirit.
Members of the PHE United Front, Samba welcomed the assurance and expressed hope that sustained pressure from elected representatives would finally lead to a just resolution of their long-pending demands. They urged the administration to act at the earliest to prevent further hardship to thousands of Daily Wager families.
