UDHAMPUR, Jan 6: A female shopkeeper was knocked to death by a speeding motorcycle at Krimchi Road near Ate Gate Udhampur, here today.
According to the police report, an unidentified Motorcycle on its way from Ate gate to Udhampur in rash and negligent manners, hit the female pedestrian near Ate Gate. Locals took the injured woman to District Hospital Udhampur where she succumbed to her injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Geeta Devi (59), wife of Om Parkash, resident of Sial Jattan Udhampur, Police have registered the case in this connection.
Meanwhile, a youth was found dead at village Bhatiari in Ramnagar. The deceased was identified as Shabil Kumar (28), son of Ishar Dass, resident of village Bhatiari Ramnagar.
He was found dead near his house under mysterious circumstances this morning. Ramnagar Police shifted the dead body to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar. After post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family members. Cause of death could not be ascertained. Police have registered the case and further investigation is going on.
