KATHUA, Dec 27: Member Legislative Assembly, Kathua, Dr.Bharat Bhushan today said that under Public Works Sector, over five crore rupees have been released to repair and restore 16 vital roads of Kathua constituency which were extensively damaged during flash floods and cloud burst which hit Bagra and Dilwan areas of Kathua.
It is pertinent to mention here that the cloud burst of 16th August 2025 had claimed over ten lives, razed several houses and damaged infrastructure which included roads, bridges and schools.
He expressed hope that with the release of this amount, the concerned executing Department will gear up and ensure that all released funds are properly utilised and people get much needed relief. Earlier over three crore rupees were earmarked to repair and restore Schools infrastructure in the constituency, he added.
