2 killed, 6 injured in road accidents

SRINAGAR, July 18: Two persons died while as six others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley.
Reports said that a tractor driven by Bashir Ahmad Dar son of Rehman Dar resident of Harwan-Sopore on way from Yamberzalwari to Harwan turned turtle near Harwan-Bomai, resulting in on spot death of a passenger namely Ghulam Nabi Sheikh son of Abdul Jabar resident of Harwan and injuries to the Tractor driver.
A tractor driven by Hilal Ahmad Malik son of Khazir Mohammad resident of Malik Mohallah, Kupwara loaded with iron rods slipped at Galizoo-Kupwara. The mishap resulted in injuries to the driver and Aftab Ahmad Malik, aged 32 years son of Abdul Rashid resident of Malik Mohalla, Kupwara. Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kupwara where from Aftab Ahmad referred to SKIMS-Soura. Aftab succumbed to his injuries later on.
A Tavera bearing registration number JK13B/5401 driven by Mohammad Yousuf Sher Gojri hit and injured a boy Imran Khan, aged eight years son of Jameel Khan resident of Gujjar Pati, Katsoo at Sirgufwara-Anantnag. The injured was shifted to Public Health Center, Sirgufwara for treatment
An Army vehicle bearing registration number 05CO76141 BX driven by Shameem Shakeel Sheikh C/o 42 RR Camp Gund on way from Gund to Gagangeer for patrolling collided with a truck bearing registration JK05B/3703 driven by Samir Farooq son of Farooq Ahmad resident of Lal Mandi, Srinagar at Ziyarat Sharief, Rayal-Ganderbal. The collision resulted in injury to the army driver
A scooter driven by Nuzhat daughter of Mohammad Ramzan Dar resident of HMT, Srinagar hit a pedestrian lady Mehjabeen wife of Mukhtar Ahmad Ahangar resident of Maharajpora-Batamaloo, resulting in injuries to both the ladies. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
