UDHAMPUR, Dec 18: Principal District & Sessions Judge/Chairman DLSA Udhampur, Virinder Singh Bhou today visited District Jail Udhampur with a team of civil and judicial officers to take stock of civic amenities and other facilities available for the inmates.
The team consisted of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, Secretary DLSA Udhampur, Sumati Sharma, Chief LADC Udhampur, Pawan Gupta and LLB Intern, Diya Kesar where as Superintendent District Jail, Mohammad Irfan Khan facilitated the visit.
The team inspected facilities like barracks, washrooms, medical rooms and the kitchen to check the hygiene and food quality.
Interacting with inmates, they addressed concerns and ensured their well-being. Inmates presented a spirited cultural program featuring songs and dances.
The visit aimed to assess jail conditions, identify improvements and protect inmates’ rights, reviewing SOP adherence and discussing rehabilitation measures.
