RAMBAN, Dec 6: Police here today booked a Bangladeshi national for illegally entering and staying in India violating immigration laws.
Reliable information was received at Police Station Chanderkote that a woman identified as Happu Akhter, daughter of Haroon Rasheed Khan, resident of Habiganj District, Bangladesh, had unlawfully entered India without possessing a valid passport or visa.
During verification, it surfaced that she was residing in the Kunfer area of Chanderkote for the past some days.
Preliminary enquiry revealed that she was attempting to conceal her identity, raising serious suspicion regarding the purpose of her illegal presence in the area.
Based on the findings, a case in FIR No. 77/2025 under relevant provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act was registered at Police Station Chanderkote and investigation started.
