HYDERABAD, Nov 30 : Telangana Industries and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu today announced that the government will set up exclusive MSME parks for women in every Assembly constituency, aiming to accelerate women-led enterprise growth and drive economic participation across the state.
Speaking at the WE-Enable Graduation Ceremony organised by WE Hub at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Jubilee Hills here, the Minister said women will play a central role in Telangana’s long-term development strategy as the state targets a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047. He stressed that empowerment must begin at home and expand into workplaces, industry and public leadership.
Sridhar Babu said the State’s Female Labour Force Participation Rate has climbed to 52.7 percent – well above the national average – rising from just 22 percent in 2017-18 to 40.3 percent last year. The spike, he said, mirrors growing access to jobs, enterprise support and social acceptance of women in leadership.
He noted that WE Hub has helped shape a new generation of entrepreneurs and said the upcoming WE Hub 2.0 model would sharpen the focus on innovation-driven, globally scalable women-run enterprises. Under the government’s entrepreneurship framework, women will receive access to training, technology, financial support, markets and mentorship.
Calling on young women to shift from being job-seekers to job-creators, the Minister said women must lead enterprises that power Telangana’s next economic leap.
The ceremony was attended by Olympian Jwala Gutta, film producer Priyanka Dutt, WE Hub CEO Sita Pallacholla and senior officials.
