RAMBAN, Nov 3: Six persons, including three minors, were injured here today when a passenger vehicle of Tempo Traveller make skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near new Mangit road on Mahoo-Khari link road in Khari Tehsil.
The ill fated vehicle bearing registration number JK19-2394 was on its way from Mahoo to Khari. As it was driven in a rash and negligent manner, the driver lost control over the vehicle near Mangit new road and it rolled down into a 100 feet deep gorge leaving the driver and five passengers injured.
On receiving information about the accident, cops along with locals rushed to the spot and retrieved the injured persons and shifted them to PHC Khari.
The injured were identified as Mohd Shahban Mir, son of Jamal ud Din Mir (Driver); Sahiba, 4, daughter of Mohammad Shaban Mir; Pakiza, 5, daughter of Mohammad Subhan Mir; Mahesh, 4, daughter of Reyaz Ahmad Naike; Rayaz Ahmed Naike, 31, son of Abdul Gani Naik and Shakeela Begum, 26, wife of Reyaz Ahmed, all residents of Mangit, Tehsil Khari.
All the injured were later on shifted to SDH Banihal for further treatment.
Police has registered a case in this regard in FIR No. 120/2025 under Sections 281/185(A) at Police Station Banihal and started investigation.
