Police arrests 2 drug peddlers, seizes 5.62 grams of heroin

SAMBA, Nov 2: Continuing its drive against smugglers and drug peddlers, Samba police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana and recovered 5.62 grams of heroin from their possession.
Police said its team of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana, during patrolling near JDA Park opposite Pillar No. 42 NHW, intercepted a motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK02DP-5217 for checking which was coming from Sarore Adda side. During frisking, approximately 5.62 grams heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of motorcyclist and pillion rider.
The drug peddlers identified as Munish Kumar, son of Rakesh Kumar and Aslam Choudhary, son of Siraj Din both residents of Channi Rama district Jammu have been arrested and the contraband item has been seized, police said. The motorcycle has also been seized by the police in the instant case, it added.
A case FIR No. 180/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started, police said.
