JAMMU, Nov 2: MLA Jammu East Constituency Yudhvir Sethi, in the presence of BJP Vice President Priya Sethi and Pandit Rumil Sharma, Priest of Shri Kal Bhairav Temple, today flagged off a grand bike rally from the ancient Shri Kal Bhairav Temple, Panjtirthi, to mark the auspicious occasion of Kal Bhairav Ashtami.
Ex-Corporator Rajinder Sharma, along with Chandan Dutta, Ramesh, Anil Masoom, Anita Gandotra, Anuradha Sharma and Preeti Sharma, also joined the flagging-off ceremony. The rally, which passed through Dhounthli Bazaar and adjoining areas, witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees and youth, reflecting deep faith, devotion, and community spirit.
The event was organized to celebrate Lord Kal Bhairav, an incarnation of Lord Shiva, symbolizing strength and protection. The air resonated with chants of “Jai Kal Bhairav Ji,” spreading messages of spirituality, peace and harmony.
Extending greetings to the devotees, Yudhvir Sethi lauded the organizers for maintaining Jammu’s cultural and spiritual legacy. He said festivals like Kal Bhairav Ashtami strengthen cultural bonds and inspire the younger generation to remain connected to their roots. He urged youth to contribute positively toward community service and nation-building.
Priya Sethi appreciated the active participation of devotees and youth, emphasizing that such events promote unity and reaffirm Jammu’s rich cultural identity.
Both leaders announced that Kal Bhairav Ashtami programs will be held from November 2 to 13 and appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs and engage in constructive, cultural and spiritual activities.
Pandit Rumil Sharma, representing the Shri Kal Bhairav Mandir Trust, expressed gratitude to all devotees and participants, calling the rally a tribute to Lord Bhairav symbolizing faith, courage, and unity.
