JAMMU, Oct 31: To discuss the implementation of the PVC Registration Certificate system in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a delegation led by Sanjay Aggarwal, Chairperson Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) met Vishesh Mahajan, Transport Commissioner here today.
Detailed deliberations were held on the technical specifications, integration with VAHAN database, operational workflow and implementation strategy for smooth rollout across Jammu & Kashmir.
Transport Commissioner emphasized the government’s focus on adopting secure and citizen-friendly digital solutions to improve service delivery in the transport sector.
He said that all the automobile dealers across J&K should be ready to implement the migration to PVC Registration Certificate as the official notification regarding this will come soon.
Sanjay Aggarwal said “FADA J&K fully supports this initiative and is committed to working closely with the Transport Department to ensure its successful execution across the Union Territory.”
The introduction of the PVC Registration Certificate aims to enhance security, durability and transparency in the vehicle registration process.
The certificates are tamper-proof, weather-resistant and embedded with advanced printing and holographic features to prevent duplication and counterfeiting. Vikas Anand, Joint Transport Commissioner, J&K was also present in the meeting.
The delegation included its Sahil Mahajan, Ravinder Gandotra, Manik Batra, Ashish Gupta, Prateek Jain and Kanav Aggarwal.
