UDHAMPUR, Oct 29: A drug peddler was detained under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act in Udhampur district today.
A police official said an arrest warrant under PIT NDPS was issued against Abhinandan Khajuria alias Nandu of Ward number 2, Indra Nagar, Udhampur by the competent authority.
“The warrant got executed today with the arrest of the accused, who has been lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu,” he said.
According to the police official, this was the 16th PIT NDPS warrant executed by the police in Udhampur in the current year so far.
