RAJOURI, Oct 16: Police team of Police Station Manjakote raided a dhabha-cum-tea stall in Patrara area and recovered 231 bottles of illicit liquor.
Police also arrested one person, identified as Abhishek Raina, son of Parshotam Lal, resident of Patrara, Tehsil Manjakote, who was running this dhaba-cum-tea stall.
On receipt of the information, a team from Police Station Manjakote, led by SHO Manjakote, Imran Khan, under the supervision of SDPO Manjakote, Shahid Nahim, carried out checking of the said shop. During the search, a total of 231 bottles of whisky, rum, vodka, and beer of various brands were recovered from the possession of the shop owner and seized on the spot.
Accordingly, cognizance was taken and FIR No. 92/2025 under sections 48(a), (f) of the Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Manjakote. The investigation is currently underway.
