MLA Mohan Lal kick starts blacktopping work

AKHNOOR, Sept 29: Fulfilling the long-pending demand of the people of Chib Dev Sthan area, MLA Mohan Lal kick started as the work of lying blacktopping on the main road today.
The project, estimated at Rs 35.79 lakh was executed under the supervision of the Public Works Department.
Speaking at the occasion, Mohan Lal said that the government is committed to ensuring all-round development, both in urban and rural areas.
He emphasized that roads are the backbone of development, as they not only improve connectivity but also accelerate economic and social progress.
The MLA said the demand for the upgradation of this road had been raised for a long time and with the commencement of this project, the aspirations of the local people are being met.
He further assured that several other development works are in the pipeline to provide better basic amenities to the people.
Shamsher Singh, president of All India Chib Biradari and former Sarpanch, expressed gratitude to MLA Mohan Lal for sanctioning and initiating this much-needed project.
Among others who were present included Bachan Singh, Prem Singh, Madan Singh, Pawan Singh, Darshan Singh, Joginder Singh, Parveen Sharma, Sonu Singh, Parth Singh, Balbir Singh, Nirmal Singh and Suman Singh.
